A quick worked example

How is this calculated? Limits and assumptions
  1. Dates are Taiwan (+08:00) civil dates. Both lease dates are included; internally the range ends at the following day, exclusive, independent of browser time zone.
  2. Current product billing uses lease cycles anchored to the original day of month. Short months clamp to month-end, then later boundaries return to the original day. Divide by the complete nominal cycle length and charge only overlapping days.
  3. Use integer cents × charged days ÷ complete cycle days, then round to cents once per cycle. Complete cycles preserve monthly rent. A zero estimate is displayed as zero; the product requires review rather than issuing a zero-value bill.
  4. Calendar-month days correspond to a cycle anchored on day 1. Fixed 30 days is only a contractual comparison: split by calendar month, round to cents and cap at monthly rent. It is not the new lease-cycle engine’s rule.
  5. Only constant rent is supported. Rent changes, retained partial bills and their rounding adjustments, penalties and legacy whole-dollar calendar bills need separate review against the actual billing snapshot.

NT$ results are displayed as whole dollars; calculations retain cents. Rates and meter usage keep necessary decimals.

Estimates only. The parties’ agreement and applicable law prevail.

How this compares with HouseHu

New bills follow lease cycles, rent history and charge snapshots. The default checks a constant-rent lease cycle; calendar-month and fixed-30 comparisons are separately identified and must not override actual bills. This tool creates no bill and edits no lease.

Frequently asked questions

Is the move-out day included?

Yes. The inclusive move-out date is converted to the following exclusive day, matching the product’s Taiwan-calendar intervals. Review any different contractual boundary first.

Can a fixed 30-day divisor exceed a month’s rent?

No. Complete months use the monthly amount directly; partial-month results are also capped at that amount.
